Our guest speaker Scott Parazynski, MD, Chief Executive Officer at Fluidity Technologies, Inc. & Author of “The Sky Below”
Dr. Scott Parazynski is a graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Medical School and trained at Harvard and in Denver in preparation for a career in emergency medicine and trauma. In 1992, he was selected to join NASA’s Astronaut Corps. Over his 17-year career as an astronaut, Scott flew five Space Shuttle Missions and conducted seven spacewalks (EVAs). Dr. Parazynski founded Fluidity Technologies, a technology innovation company focused on redefining movement through 3-dimensional space.

Our guest speaker David J. Vining, MD, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, VisionSR
David J. Vining, MD, is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist, inventor, and entrepreneur. He is credited with having created “virtual colonoscopy” in the early 1990’s, which is a minimally invasive colorectal cancer screening technique that uses computed tomography (CT) scanning and 3D image reconstruction to look inside the body. Dr. Vining’s expertise in structured reporting began in 1999 when he founded PointDx which was acquired by IDX in 2004. Dr. Vining recognized several deficiencies in his earlier approach, including the need to integrate reporting software with that of imaging vendors, and he has overcome those challenges with the ViSion technology.

Our guest speaker Paul E. Sovelius, President of Advanced Visual Science
Paul E. Sovelius, a proven clinical / surgical visualization architect with 30 years of medical and scientific visualization experience. His focus is the integration of real-time, remote collaborative consultations, using open-source, n-dimensional, Dual Reality (DR) solutions for pre-surgical planning within a collaborative immersive environment. He is President of Advanced Visual Science, an Augmented Reality (AR) software start-up, and the Founder of the Advanced Surgical Visualization Consortium.
