Building a Centralized Command Center to Protect Healthcare IT Systems
Memorial Hermann, one of Texas’s largest not-for-profit health systems, needed a centralized command center to support its 24/7 IT operations. With teams distributed across multiple buildings and over 30,000 monthly helpdesk requests, delays in resolving critical IT issues posed a direct risk to patient care. To maintain reliability across digital hospitals and remote sites, the organization set out to build a Command Center equipped with modern collaboration tools and real-time data visualization—bringing IT operations, helpdesk, and network control under one roof.
Cyviz helped Memorial Hermann build a centralized Command Center to support its critical healthcare IT systems, uniting previously siloed teams under one roof. The Cyviz Easy Controller powers a massive video wall for real-time monitoring, while its intuitive interface streamlines control and content sharing. With enhanced collaboration and visibility, support teams now resolve issues faster—reducing downtime and ensuring continuous care across the hospital network.
With IT support teams scattered across separate buildings, Memorial Hermann struggled with communication delays, slow ticket resolution, and limited visibility into system-wide issues. These inefficiencies directly impacted system uptime—an unacceptable risk in a fully digital healthcare environment where even brief downtime could compromise patient outcomes.
To unify operations, Memorial Hermann partnered with Cyviz to create a 6,000-square-foot Command Center combining NOC, helpdesk, and command & control functions. At the center is a 32-foot video wall powered by the Cyviz Easy Controller platform, enabling teams to monitor live infrastructure data, respond quickly to incidents, and collaborate in real time. The result is a highly responsive, centralized, and future-ready IT operations hub.
The Cyviz-enabled Command Center has improved incident response times, reduced helpdesk ticket resolution delays, and enabled rapid coordination during emergencies. With better system uptime and intuitive tools, IT staff now operate more efficiently, and critical healthcare infrastructure remains stable and secure. As the system scales, Cyviz provides the flexibility and reliability needed to support Memorial Hermann’s growing digital footprint across hospitals and clinics.
With our high-end visualization and unified communication systems, Cyviz control rooms can be used for national intelligence, space programs and other special operations.
