The Management team
Ole J. Fredriksen
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Fredriksen has held various key management positions within the peripheral computer industry in Europe and US (ASK ASA, ASK Proxima ASA / Proxima Inc/InFocus Inc). Mr. Fredriksen was a co-founder, CEO and President of ASK ASA for 15 years (6 years listing at Oslo Stock Exchange). Prior to founding ASK, he worked for several private companies in the service and computer industry. Mr. Fredriksen has worked and lived abroad for 5 years in different countries (US and Europe). In his career Mr. Fredriksen has had Board experience from 10 listed companies (7 as chairman) at the Oslo/ Stockholm/ New York Stock Exchange, and several smaller companies, where he simultaneously has been involved as an investor. He has worked closely as advisor with various Private Equity companies, as well as privately owned investment companies. Mr. Fredriksen has a Bachelor degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, Bergen, Norway.
Thomas S. Wrede-Holm
Member of the Board
Thomas S. Wrede-Holm is an Investment Director at Investinor AS. Prior to joining Investinor AS in January 2019, Thomas spent close to 20 years as an investment banking professional in Norway and abroad. Most recently, he held the position as managing director and co-head of SEB’s corporate finance department in Norway. Thomas has extensive advisory and transaction experience having been involved in numerous M&A and capital markets assignments. He holds a MSc degree in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
Member of the Board
Patrick Kartevoll holds a Master of Business and Economics from BI Norwegian School of Management. He has previously worked 7 years as a fund manager for maritime funds in Pareto, as well as 4 years as business manager and auditor in Pareto and Deloitte respectively. He is currently board member at Investinor’s portfolio company Topro Industri AS, Zi-lift AS, Cyviz AS and deputy member of the board in Partnerplast AS.
Member of the Board
Vaage holds an extensive education in engineering and has 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Being a significant entrepreneur since the 1980s, Tore Vaage has founded and managed a range of successful companies within drilling, HSE and venture capital. He is currently CEO and Chairman of the Board of GeoCem AS.
Espen Gylvik has worked in the technology industry for over 20 years and most recently as the CEO at UMS, a Norwegian public warning technology provider with global coverage. Before his tenure at UMS he has held positions as Chief Operating Officer Norway and Regional Director Central & Eastern Europe for Microsoft and senior positions at Evry and TeliaSonera. He holds a Bachelor of Management and Finance and a Master’s degree in Psychology.
Erik Fausa Olsen
Erik Fausa Olsen joined Cyviz as CFO in October 2017, and is responsible for finance and accounting, with key responsibility to define and drive the financial strategy and objectives aligned with the company business plan. Olsen has more than 25 years’ experience from financial management, business development, M&A, active ownership of growth companies. Olsen holds a Master of Business and Economics from Norwegian School of Management and a is Certified European Financial Analyst from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
Corporate SVP Technology
Eirik Simonsen joined Cyviz in April 2009 and is responsible for Corporate SVP Technology. Prior to Cyviz Simonsen worked in business development for CoreTrek AS. He has worked in the software development industry for over a period of 20 years and has additional management experience in sales and marketing; ensuring market-oriented development efforts. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology from the University of Stavanger.
Marie Pettersson is responsible for Marketing and Go-to market Strategy in Cyviz. Pettersson has over 15 years’ experience from the business-to-business technology space with positions in strategic product marketing, sales and business development. She joins Cyviz from CAMO Software where she worked as Marketing Director & Business Development Director Asia Pacific & Japan. Prior to CAMO she spent 9 years in the security software and services industry working for Symantec. Pettersson holds a degree from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
President North America
Joined Cyviz in September 2015 and is responsible for overall operations of North America. Stewart brings 20 years of experience in strategy, alliances, global sales, and marketing. He was previously with collaboration software leader PGi where he was the SVP Strategy & Alliances for Global Collaboration Services and the SVP of Global Product Management, responsible for a $600M portfolio. He holds 10 patents in collaboration technology as the lead inventor of iMeet™. He held positions in product management at Sprint-Nextel and was a Principal IT Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Stewart earned a bachelor of civil and environmental engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA in Strategy & Marketing from Emory University.
Jan Petter Lie
Jan Petter has a key role in supporting continued international expansion with a focus on the European market. 15 years of international experience from software, consulting, management and strategy makes him invaluable to Cyviz’ expansion into new European markets. Jan Petter has worked in various roles and industries including media, shipping and oil and gas. Lie joined Cyviz in 2016 from IHS where he managed multiple Energy product verticals in the capacity of Director, EMEA Sales. He holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from Queensland University of Technology and a Master of Business degree from Queensland University (Australia) and the University of Florida, USA.
Bergljot E. Attwooll
Bergljot joined Cyviz in September 2018, and is responsible for Human Resources. She has 10 years of experience in Human Resources, both at a strategic and operational level. Bergljot has worked in international companies within various industries including the oil and gas, medical and hospitality industry. She was Cluster HR Manager of Radisson Hotel Group before starting in Cyviz. Bergljot holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Psychology from BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo in Norway.
Vice President APAC
Daniel Hanley is the Vice President for the Asia Pacific region at Cyviz. He has been with Cyviz for 9 years, and brings more than a decade of experience from high-end technology solutions for the digital oilfield, E&P, real-time drilling operations, collaborative environments, and security & surveillance. Hanley is engaging with large enterprise customers on a daily basis and has helped to scope and deliver the optimal collaboration and visualization solutions to support the digital transformation forerunners. His commitment to data-driven decision-making has been a key driver in many of recent projects and partnerships that he is responsible for in Asia. Hanley is a British citizen, who has lived for 6 years in Dubai and is now based in Singapore.
Corporate SVP Operations
Trish Espedal joined Cyviz in May 2019 and is responsible for the Operations team. She has worked more than 25 years in the oil & gas industry, gaining experience from diverse roles such Contracts, Procurement, Legal, SCM and VP Operations. Before joining Cyviz she worked at Acergy (Subsea 7), Eni Norge, Rolls-Royce Marine and Apply. She earned her bachelor’s from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University.
Regional General Manager UAE
Anas Hawari is running the Cyviz operation in United Arab Emirates as of 2019, and has previously been the account manager for some of the most significant customers in the region. He is originally from Jordan and holds a degree in applied engineering from Michigan State University, USA. Anas brings extensive experience from sales and marketing, and with a five year tenure at Citrix in multiple roles he has a solid background in business development and emerging technology.
VP Middle East & North Africa
Arqam Jaradat joined Cyviz in March 2013 to take responsibility for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia operation and is now covering the Middle East and North Africa. Arqam has a successful 19 years’ history in operations and sales, in a broad range of information technology verticals. He was previously the Managing Director at Dolf-TIS Systems and delivered substantial high-end customized simulations and e-learning solutions to some of the region’s most famous iconic projects. Mr. Jaradat earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of Jordan.
