Neptune Energy operates the Gjøa platform in the North Sea—one of the most efficient floating production units in the region. The previous solution lacked reliability, delivered poor image quality, and had no remote support—adding risk to a mission-critical offshore environment.
To ensure uninterrupted control room operations on the Gjøa platform, Neptune Energy partnered with Cyviz for a technology upgrade. The Cyviz F621 display and Easy Server provide high-resolution visuals, reduced sound pollution, and proactive monitoring—all in a solution that operates flawlessly in challenging offshore conditions. Cyviz also enabled remote diagnostics and support, helping the team maintain safety, oversight, and performance.
Neptune Energy’s control room was running on an aging system prone to failure, with no remote support options. Frequent outages and degraded visuals impacted operators’ ability to monitor production and respond to safety incidents—especially challenging on a floating offshore facility where downtime is costly and difficult to address.
Cyviz delivered a seamless and robust control room upgrade centered around the F621 LED display and Cyviz Easy Server. The system enabled remote support, proactive maintenance alerts, and uninterrupted 24/7 performance. The installation was carefully planned to maintain uptime during deployment, despite the complexity of the offshore environment.
The Cyviz system has run without interruption for over five years, significantly improving operator experience, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring real-time oversight of critical systems. Its success led Neptune to deploy Cyviz technology in additional offshore and onshore rooms—creating consistency and reliability across operations.
