Norwegian municipality invests in meeting room standardization as part of their digitalization strategy.

The meeting rooms at Stavanger Kommune weren’t in use when the project started, says Rune Lea, Operations Manager, and references the room calendar booking systems. Another critical activity that was reviewed was the procurement process for meeting room equipment. The non-standardized approach meant that people would simply go to the local dealer and buy the meeting room equipment desired. The result was a dispersed set of meeting rooms, with numerous different solutions and components, which were difficult to support.
