A partner on the Norwegian oil and gas fields since 2003, German energy company E.ON Ruhrgas assumed operatorship of two North Sea drilling rigs in May 2011. Though they relocated some key personnel from the organization at large, E.ON Ruhrgas still needed a way to draw upon the expertise of its UK entity which had hands-on experience from drilling operations.
