As one of Norway’s largest construction and real estate companies, Veidekke is driven by collaboration, precision, and efficiency. When moving its headquarters to the new Ulven district in Oslo, Veidekke saw an opportunity to rethink how digital collaboration could support its teams.

Traditional “BIM rooms” at the former Skøyen office no longer supported modern project workflows. Visual quality, sound, and integration with Microsoft Teams fell short of expectations, creating friction in critical design and coordination meetings. With projects of massive scale and complexity, often involving multidisciplinary teams and high-volume documentation, Veidekke needed a next-generation workspace that could make hybrid collaboration seamless, engaging, and productive.

Summary

Veidekke partnered with Cyviz to modernize its digital collaboration infrastructure during its headquarters relocation to Oslo’s Ulven district. To overcome the limitations of outdated “BIM rooms,” Cyviz implemented three high-performance collaboration spaces featuring the Cyviz Platform, multi-source visualization, and seamless Microsoft Teams integration. This solution has successfully bridged the gap between analog and digital workflows, increasing room utilization from 20% to nearly 60% by removing technological barriers for both technical and non-technical staff. Following the success of this pilot, Veidekke is now exploring ways to scale these integrated environments to other locations to further support hybrid teamwork and improve organizational efficiency.

Result

Cyviz together with Veidekke designed and implement three high-performance collaboration rooms at the company’s new headquarters. These spaces combine analog and digital tools in a single, intuitive environment; enabling engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to work together naturally, whether in person or remote.

Each room features the Cyviz Platform with centralized management, intuitive control, and seamless Microsoft Teams integration. Flexible layouts allow users to display and manipulate multiple data sources, 3D models, or documents side-by-side, while maintaining a clean, simple user experience.

By combining intuitive digital tools with tactile, analog collaboration, Veidekke has created a hybrid meeting environment that feels both human and high-tech. This solution is especially valuable for non-technical roles (such as management, accounting, and HR), as it removes technological barriers and enables effective, advanced collaboration across the entire organization.
